Land Acquisition Manager (m/w/d), Segrate (Milan)

Profile

The candidate should have several years of experience in land acquisition for logistic and industrial development Projects. This role involves developing and managing a cross-functional team with a variety of skills and experience, as well as collaborating with other departments. The successful applicant will have great communication, teamwork, leadership and analytical skills.

What you'll do

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Research of new plots in accordance with VGP criteria;
  • Reading and understanding of Urban Planning Act and urban planning development process;
  • Preparation of documentation for technical feasibility and budgets for economic feasibility of the investment;
  • Reporting activities;
  • Negotiations with the Seller;
  • Management of proposals and contracts reading;
  • Contact with Municipalities and Authorities regarding potential locations, technical feasibility, urbanistic status;
  • Manage Technical and Legal Due Diligence during the acquisition phase;
  • Manage the urbanistic process discussing with authorities and managing VGP external consultants;
  • Assess risks involved with new opportunities, ensure the respect of deadlines and be ready to handle unexpected situations.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify land and development opportunities through various channels, including agency and broker networks, local authorities, architects, and investors.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies to gather key information on development timelines, opportunities, and risks.
  • Compile relevant data to support the preparation of site layouts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to develop comprehensive development appraisals and business cases.
  • Present development  opportunities to senior country management and the group management team.
  • Prepare detailed commercial heads of terms and negotiate agreements with vendors and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the legal acquisition process.
  • Work closely with external planning consultants and local planning authorities to navigate sites through the planning process.
